Cake smash and milestone sessions

Cake smash and milestone sessions are exactly as chaotic and adorable as they sound — and we are here for every messy, joyful second of it. Whether your little one is diving face-first into their first birthday cake or hitting one of those blink-and-you'll-miss-it milestones, these 30-minute mini sessions are designed to capture all of it.

We start with sweet, posed portraits before letting the real fun begin. Studio props, setups, and black and white versions are all included, and you'll have your sneak peek within 48 hours. 10 fully edited digital images are included with your private online gallery with full print release — plus access to our professional print lab so you can get that precious little face on your wall where it belongs. Can't narrow it down to just five? Additional images are available for purchase directly from your gallery.

Bring a cake, a change of outfit, and maybe an extra bib — or reach out about our fake cake option if you want all the adorable photos without the sugar rush. We'll handle everything else!

1. Do you travel outside of waukesha county?

Yes! I’m happy to travel to your desired location. Sessions within Waukesha or Milwaukee Counties have no travel fee. Locations outside of these areas may require a travel fee, determined by the distance and destination.

2. Do you help with planning our session?

Yes. Every portrait experience includes personalized planning support, including guidance on wardrobe, styling, and overall vision. I’ll walk you through each step to ensure your session feels effortless and beautifully tailored to you.

3. What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?

A non-refundable retainer is required to reserve your session date and time. If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice and your retainer will be transferred to a new date, subject to availability. Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled session will forfeit the retainer.

4. Do you offer digital files, prints, or albums?

Yes. Your online gallery features a curated boutique where you may select from heirloom-quality prints, custom-designed albums, and digital files. This allows you to choose beautifully crafted products that best suit your home and lifestyle.

5. Can we bring props or personal items?

Absolutely. Meaningful or simple props are welcome and can add a personal touch, as long as they complement the overall aesthetic.

6. Can I request specific poses or shots?

Absolutely! We love hearing your ideas and welcome any inspiration, poses, or must-have shots you’d like to share before or during your session. While every image is guided by your natural connection and what photographs best in the moment, we’ll always do our best to incorporate your requests in a way that fits our style and ensures a beautiful, cohesive gallery.

7. Can we meet before the session?

While in-person meetings aren’t required, we’re always happy to connect via phone, email, or video prior to your session to go over details, styling, and your vision. This ensures everyone feels prepared and excited.

8. How long until I receive the final photos?

Your images receive thoughtful, custom editing to reflect our signature look. Galleries are typically delivered within two weeks, allowing us to provide you with a refined and beautifully finished collection.
